I have earnest money down on a Mainship 34, 1983 and I and a full survey done. There were no blisters. The hull is rock solid. Count on dealing with the issues previlent with cored decks/ The entire fly will have to be recored and there are some other places that will require some attention but overall nothing serious.

I am paying less than $35k and I expect to drop around 5 to make it ready for sea. Has a remanfactured cummins with around 200 hours. Has a new generator. I expect 10-12 knots at about 2 mpg. I will let ya know. Sea trial was sweet.

I have been up the ICW from charleston to the great lakes, Ontario, Erie and Huron so far, with my Bluewater. It has three staterooms and will sleep 10 without air mattresses.

It is a coastal cruiser with low draft 32" under the props which makes it ideal for the ICW.

It will cruise as economically as a trawler and get 2mpg at 8 knots or burn 40 gph if you want to go 20 knots.

there is a pic in my avatar. Let me know if you need any more info.
