ford lehman vs cummins?

just curious about something.
if a boat has a 275HP lehman will the transmission bolt up to a cummins engine?
this is the first time i have seen these engines, and i am intimidated.
they are MASSIVE...
i could not imagine the need for 550hp.
i think a pair of 125hp will work for me.
but what will it take to hook to the transmission?

Might have to change the adapter plate. Which trans are you trying to bolt it up to? Check with that manufacturer for the correct one.

that's the one mess up i made, i forgot engine and transmission photos. i could swear it said velvet drive on them, and let me say this: they were smooth as butter in and out.

Depending on the boat... additional horsepower (550 vs. 250) probably won't actually hurt anything.

Aside from potentially better access for service, what would you gain from switching to physically smaller engines? At great expense.

Do the Lehman's not work?
