I'm trying to stay away from MYs. They are fuel guzzlers for what I want to do. I'm looking for a "little ship" type, with great liveaboard comforts, but very seaworthy and economical to run. Long range trawler type boats with a RAISED pilothouse that sits way above the salon, a captain's berth in there would be great too. Motor yacht comfort on a commercial fishing boat/expedition style hull

Thanks for looking.

Re: Find My Boat - $5,000 REWARD!!!

These guys do mostly commercial but I have seen many converted boats go through their doors, as well as a lot of pretty singular large pleasure vessels of all sorts. Might be worth giving them a call, they list boats of the sort you are looking for occasionally and I believe they don't do Yachtworld.

If you like Nordies don't forget Selene. I'm sure you've been there.

Re: Find My Boat - $5,000 REWARD!!!

The 60' Passagemaker is a PERFECT example of something I would buy. All the rest are just common boats. A dime a dozen.

My heart skipped a beat when I first clicked on it, thinking, wow, he might have actually found the boat. But, it only has 2 staterooms, which is a killer for me. But, this is absolutely the kind of boat that I am searching for. And, I have never seen this before. So, if you spot one with 4 states, or 3 states and crew, or room to make an additional state, then please let me know Thank you!!!

These guys do offer the hull I like. Just need one that has been converted for comfortable liveaboard, and I don't want to take it on.

I'm going to call them and let them know what I am looking for and to call me if they get anything in like that. I will let you know if I get lucky. Thanks for pointing them out

Selene's are great, but price and space get me every time.

OK, lots of boats like that around here (now that I know what you like). You should really be looking hard at PNW and Alaska. I'll keep my eye out for you.

No problem. You might get lucky with them, they deal in that sort of thing more than most.

I agree, the PNW boaters tend to refit old work boats for cruising more than other areas.
