Captains's Gigs and Admiral's barges and smaller aft cabin trawlers

Im considering mid nineties Willard 33' Personnel boats....MK6 MK7 etc. Decommissioned former Navy boats.... to customize into a summer live a board cruiser. They're clearly seaworthy and I appreciate the stripped down utility and heavy build.

Ive also been looking into 1970s era Swedish built Albin 25, Norwegian built Saga 27, or Finnish Tristan 301

Anyone have experience with any of these vessels?

C.H. Lightoller, senior surviving officer of the Titanic, did much the same thing. He took a Admiralty barge and converted it into a private yacht, the Sundowner. Lightoller took it to Dunkirk as part of the fleet of small ships to help evacuate the British Expeditionary Force which had its back to the sea as the German army closed in.
