Think of the wider picture ? Our Motor cruiser is suitable for both the sea and the canals and we regularly change our cruising patterns as the notion takes us. We can travel anywhere in Europe via the canals and often take trips by sea to visit Spain. The reason I suggested buying a boat through a family/friends syndicate is that you can cruise very economically in short tranches. Each area has it's own charm and the trick, just the same as anywhere else is to cruise gently and unwind with the boat in gear and the mind in reverse. Enjoy life, you only have one crack at it !
