Burned DC converter box

Greetings. New here and having a heckava time finding info on specific Volvo D6 problems.
2007 Regal 4460 with twin D6-370 and IPS drives.

Most recent challenge was a bar-b-que in the engine bay. Master switches on/ignition switches off. This was the result. Apparently this box gets constant power with master switches on. Seems crazy that the possibility of fire with ignition switches off should be a constant concern.

Anyone else have this experience?

Thanks.
