Buddy boats?

We will be leaving Newport RI on June 15 for a 2.5 month cruise through Maine, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Hoping to hear from others who may be in the region and want to buddy boat.

We are a slow trawler, usually about 8kts. see

Re: Buddy boats?

For cruisers 8 knots isnt slow. If I could go 8 kts constantly I would be super happy. I hope to cruise Maine sometime, but I have winters off and its abit cold.

Re: Buddy boats?

Eight knots isn't slow because it's faster than my maximum speed. Slow is under six knots. I cruise comfortably at 6.5 to 7.0 knots (max. speed is about 7.6 knots/hull speed).
