beaching

Hi all. I have an old 35 foot powerboat and visiting a house next week with a jetty so planning to beach the boat so I can spend a bit of time water blasting, adding new duck board etc etc. However can't find anywhere about how to do this on a powerboat, only on yachts so after some advice so I can do it safely and correctly if possible as I can't tilt the engine

Re: beaching

If you can't tilt the drive leg up, you really can't beach.

Is it that the tilt mechanism is broken? Or is the drive leg somehow fixed down?

Re: beaching

If the out drive is still able to be lifted you could tie a line to it and lift just to keep it from grinding the bottom while the tide runs out.
