Hello all boaters. I wanted to know if there are any other GB owners in the forum. I own a GB42 Woodie and have owned her since 1991. I love the boat and plan on an extended cruise from CA to Panama and back. I am interested in any cruising stories any GB or trawler owners might have.
I have many friends in sailboats cruising the Pacific and get emails from them and even visits when thet come back to CA. I think their experiences are going to be different from a trawler experience and what I am interested in is finding out what the differences are. For one, I am a fisherman and none of all of the sailboaters fish at all. One did catch a fish on the trip from PV to Z town and described the experience as horrible. It trashed his cockpit, put blood all over the place and then he had to clean it. It was a Dorado (Dolphin Mahi Mahi) and 30 pounds. They ate it and enjoyed the meals. Cheers!!
