Next month we will take delivery of our new boat, a Sabre 52 Express. We want to add a high quality grill and would prefer 220 Volt. Ideally it would prefer not to add a cabinet but instead mount it to the floor or rail. I have been looking at a Electri-Chef. Has anyone tried one? Do you have other recomendations?
I am puzzled as to why you would want an electricgrill as opposed to a propane grill. Is your boat's stove/oven electric? If not, why not put a propane grill back there and pipe it into your boat's propane system?
I have had propane BBQ's on my last few boats and found them to give just OK results. Both the stove and convection oven are 220 volt. I have 2 x 9 kw gen sets and will be running one anyway so adding a 220 volt grill seems to make sense.
