Probably cause I'm trying and coming up empty. The worst was the advice I didn't hear or seek. It haunts you when your doing the dough do do bang head into wall. icon thing.
Sometimes I've missed this bad advice do to passion rather the sense.
This bad advice sounds like this. Are you sure? I'm just saying in the past I've had bad experience with CDX plywood hulls smeared with drywall compound. She sure has nice lines and man is she Rooney. You should ask why they accepted your offer.
Rooney is a old surveyors trick to compliment while snickering . Then there is the wish you had told me advice. This is bad. You know you should have called chuck but chuck is such a nay sayer. Now chuck is saying I would have told you 5200 us no good for sealing your ice box lid. Yeah Jon that's cool your yellow main sheet matches the yellow hull. Those are nice looking lines. Wow look at all this room. This means idiot don't use polypropylene as a main sheet. I want to go home to my room now.

Erm, that's not advice, is it?

Advice would be "yes, you should"

Two decades ago I was advised to diversify my portfolio because I was too heavily invested in Apple Computer.

Hey There Friend, you don't need to wear a life jacket here in the Bayous...
Besides it is too hot to wear one.

We lost five fishermen one fishing season... The reason? Not wearing a life jacket.

"Buy the larger of the two boats you are considering" It cost me 3 years of cruising time just to get it ready.
Best piece of advice? "Buy the smallest boat you can live with"

Re: What's the Worst Piece of Advice You've Ever Received ?

Its too dangerous out on the water... you better stay home and play with a stamp or rock collection

And some of my now deceased friends said to me... Quit going to sea, stay home and get a real job. Minor notation here... I was making more money then they were and I had good stress while they passed on from all of the bad stresses from their jobs.
If you love what you are doing you are really not working.
