YiKeS! ... "low quality cheap bars". Yes. They can be found off the beaten path. (Duval St.) Dang, I sure as heck don't miss that scene.

Seems to be a correlation similar to the one between Bourbon Street and the rest of New Orleans.

Don't worry! SB1 will find plenty of cheap bars on the way down the ICW. By the time he makes it to KW, he will be bored with that scene. With all that time to think, he will probably come up with an idea that will revolutionize cruising and end up owning the Maltese Falcon.

i never had the urge to visit key wierd, not the other east and south florida tourist places.
the best part of florida is never or rarely ever visited, and folks think fla is a big junky overblown whore. most of that repuitation is accurate. it was an overblown whore in the 60s, nothing has changed, except mebbe the murder and theft rates.. they have increased.
go to fort jefferson, appalach and west florida, the forgotten coast.
visit the pretty side of florida.

How do you say spoon in Spanish?
(or subtitled: What's wrong with Dumps)
How long has it been since you needed a conversational(fill in the blank)Phrasebook to check into a foreign country. Or to buy food, or buy a spoon so you could eat that food.
I enjoy that challenge. It's one of the reasons I got into boating.
I like going to places where they might take $1's or $5's but not $20's(because they've never seen one). I like figuring out the rules of the country I am visiting.
Bet you've had problems importing replacement parts.
Why? Maybe It's because you don't know the rules.
You want an adventure, a challenge?
Go sail to some Dumps.
One more thing. I have NEVER, EVER, had anyone beg me for $$

No, no, don't tell anybody! Despite what you may have heard, Florida ends at Tampa Bay. Above that and to the west is nothing to see.

Sounds like Port Saint Joe will become a destination this coming winter.

I just took a quick look as at the online charts, and man is there a lot of skinny water going up from Tampa to there.

Not sure where you are looking? It's plenty deep in the Gulf from Clearwater to Carrabelle or Apalachicola. You can do the ICW from Apalachicola to Port St. Joe, and it is a beautifully scenic route.
