Rescue of Tomacho

Tomacho was the name of a little French-made boat owned by a luckless recent graduate from MIT who lost his boat off Saba. He had tied it to something on a large ship mooring that was not fully attached, and his boat broke loose while he was at dinner on the island.

We came down to the harbor after dinner and he asked us if we could help him find his boat.

We had a quarter-moon, and a very weak radar signal, but were able to find it and get the skipper back to his boat in the rough seas off the Saba Bank.

You can read the whole tale at our PatiCat website here.

Great story - cool site - fantastic photo's.
May I propose that you post a couple of your favourite photos in our photo album & also your planning commentary "Your going across the ocean? I'm worried!"?
