Name One Thing You Love and One Thing You Hate About Cruising

This question is brought on by a recent subject on "Fear Killing the fun of sailing". Many stated that you get more response to "Fear Questions" than questions about "Enjoyment of cruising." I, for one am interested to hear both.

Love being in tune with nature. Hate hauling the boat out for the winter, like I have to do now.

Love that first beer after sailing through cold and rough weather and finally getting to the shelter of a bar.

Hate finding out the bar is about to close.

Love: The idea of sailing away into the sunset
Hate: The knowledge that I dont the money to go sailing away into the sunset!

Well to answer the question "Enjoyment of cruising." I for one would say that arriving at the designated point of delivery 1500 + miles later, successfully, and looking for a return trip would be mine.

Finding that perfect secluded anchorage, and putting out 100ft of chain.
Coming on deck to find some **** anchoring 50 ft away with a boombox cranked up full.

Ha! Two hours later, I'm still laughing!

Maybe we just put up a section on the forum for "classic" posts. That's my nomination for the #1.

If it's in the cockpit, it sounds like a perfect candidate for a water cannon filled with SALT water.

Here come the mods, I can FEEL it.
