Love: self reliance, other cruisers (mostly), foreign lands and people, cutting the cord to people who think I should live they way they think everyone should live, traveling to exotic places as more than a tourist, preparing a boat my way, and on and on
Hate: the boat when it breaks or cries for dreaded maintenance
I don't like to do, the money
it costs to do that, running out of money
, storms between here and there, boat gremlins, thievery and extortion, uncharted rocks, crew, watches when I am too tired, cold weather
Overall, love it. But didn't buy another boat until my memory faded as to why I sold the last one. So the good stuff totally outweighs bad stuff and can't wait to get offshore
again. But money is something I can't manufacture and that is the only limiting factor. I love money only because it allows me to go cruising.
