I have sailed out of Narragansett bay for over 30 years. On some weekends the number of power boats producing wakes is ridiculous but all on my boat know, when I yell wake it means bra e you self. Even my 4 and y year old know this. It's part of the deal.
Only once in all those years did I feel the need to have a heart to heart with an,individual. In that case the individual in question was afraid for his life, as he should have been, ran my stern by feet in 4 5 foot powerboat and pooped my cockpit
on a sunny calm Sunday afternoon while sailing with family
Reported formaly to coast guard as well as getting the "personal touch" at his dock
, but otherwise find no reason to complain. Most power boat
guys are responsible, considerate, responsible operators, it's only the Douchbags who stand out in our memories.
