Hi Mark

I have the same switch too for the main starter load. This model has a separate feed for the solenoid. I was thinking about it today and it's kinda weird and doesn't show it correctly on the diagram I posted. My battery switch was off or I would have burnt the 1/0 instead of the lighter 8 ga wire feeding the solenoid.

Shoudn't the 2 red wires at the batt be after the main switch? so that all load is off when the switch is off?

Sorry, thought it was 6 ga but it's 8 ga. Hardest part will be replacing what's burnt inside the main harness. Standby. I suspect the circuit breaker, cranking motor relay & ACR are probably toast. Otherwise there's nothing else I can see wrong other than the positive terminal melted off the starter battery.

justlearnin, we found out that diagram isn't the exact one for the boat. We ordered a complete plug 'n play wiring harness from Volvo and it's back up and running. Minimal fuss and mess. Just need to replace the starter battery. Apparently they don't like being discharged so fast!

Boat just got moved to a dealer for sale under brokerage. At least it's out of my dooryard. I don't expect at this time of year we'll even get an offer on it. Standby....
