I thought he played the part very well. As for his singing in Les Mis....well that's a different thing entirely.

Oh, he certainly tried. But he's just the wrong guy for the roll, not even close. Terrible casting. Not his fault. Casting an Aussie as someone as quintessentially British as Aubrey-meh. Plus he's physically all wrong. Aubrey should be 6' 3" and slightly portly, with long blonde hair and a ruddy complexion. He'd be hard to cast. Most people who fit that description would not exude the necessary charisma and force of character. Don't know where you'd find the right person, but probably not in Hollywood...

As a Reacher fan, I've read 'em all, this is annoying. I don't know how tall Alec Baldwin is but that's Reacher in my mind. Scruffy. Tough.

I heard they're casting Tom to play Danica Patrick. Same size, same gender, similar appearance. Works for me.
