Saucy, don't try to fit your observations in to any other story. You have told what you saw. That is all you need to do. Now get some rest and try to know that you have done all you can do. Time to let it go, as much as you can, and remove yourself from the situation. Accept that you have done what you can do and move on.
I agree, and all this talk of only answering questions on CF will grow suspicion you are only doing this to increase "click's" on the site.

You mean from your armchair?

Saucy, maybe one of our many talented graphic artist type members could mockup something that describes what you saw. I think many here imagine it much closer than what you saw.

Saucy,
I agree with SaltMonkey. In order to put any doubts to rest you might consider having a non-exclusive press conference with all media present. You mentioned Marc was maybe going to do that anyway? State your story even if you read it from a posting and don't allow any questions unless they were already asked in the CF. Just a thought. It might get the reporters off your backs.

Re: I Think I Saw MH370

As far as time is concerned. Seems to be a + or - 1 Hour question. I do not know how exactly GPS works with respect to determining actual local time etc. but if it is like my cell phone it changes automatically as you move from time zone to timezone. Or at least SHOULD change. I have had my phone be "off" several times before in the past by 1 hour or more as I move from 1 time zone to another. What about daylight savings time adjustments? There are probably several ways a GPS time can be off by an hour. Just guessing. Experts please chime in.

Re: I Think I Saw MH370

I am always confused when converting time zones and figuring out daylight savings time where the conversion date differs from country to country but I believe there is a transposition error in the two spreadsheets that are linked in a previous post. The Title is Track from 2:00 AM to 6:00 AM and the UTC table does start at 18:00 UTC but that time does not align itself to 2:00 AM on the other table. For example, at 2:20 AM 'local' time, their heading was 88° true. That heading is shown at 19:20 UTC on the second table by which time MH370 is believed to be far away from the sailboat.

By talking to even one reporter you may have encouraged others to try and break you down to do the same. Like giving candy to a kid in an impoverished village if others see you doing it there might soon be a swarm around you. I would even suspect the female CNN reporter. She has very little power and say once the producers and editors in New York or Atlanta get hold of any video. Better you control the information and your recall here on CF as you see fit and when you are up to responding.
Yup...When Saucy was talking about the female spin doctor trying to convince her to do the interview, felt like just another ploy to get what they want to sell their hype to their dwindling viewers.
As pointed out, Saucy just wanted to state what she saw. It seems the people asking questions are trying to get her to speculate. That's when the media runs away with it.

Saucy... Stay clear of them,,, they'll only try and put words in your mouth..
You have no obligation to say anything to them.

Re: I Think I Saw MH370

Another poster mentioned reflected light from below the horizon might be the cause of the glow. I found a photo of something similar. Does it look in any way comparable?

As a child I was abducted by extra-terrestial Teddy bears.
I had a close encounter of the furred kind.

Re: I Think I Saw MH370

Malaysia has paid attention to Saucy's claims. A few days back, the biggest circulation English language daily newspaper in Malaysia, The Star, carried stories with Katherine Tee's claims:

MH370: I saw flaming plane cross the night sky, claims British sailor - Nation | The Star Online

and reporting that the Australian investigators will explore Saucy's claims:

MH370: Australia probes sailor's burning aircraft claim - Nation | The Star Online
