How Many Of You Want To Be Buried At Sea?

If you do want an ocean burial, cremation?

My boats PO is not doing well, my mother in law is failing, and I feel the years eating away on me, as well. Makes a person look around and ask where does it all lead?

Are you enough into sailing, you want to visit Neptune on your first official outing on the other side?

(No religious answers, the mods need a day off)

I think I might. I still have my Mothers ashes, and I would like us to be together in some fashion. In Nebraska, I believe the ashes can be sprinkled anywhere except in a cemetery, oddly enough, unless you pay big bucks to them. They do not want freeloaders. Lol

I know I want to rest where the water makes noise. It is that noise of sailing that attracts me most. The sounds. Nothing better than the sound of water.

Ate lunch one time at an outside fast-food joint outside Denver, next to a river coming down from a mountain. Sat there for ours. Water so loud, it pierced your heart.

How about it, where will you wait on the winds?

Definitely want a cremation and my ashes can be scattered anywhere. Wouldn't want anyone (particularly my husband) to suffer the emotional trauma of watching my coffin being lowered. Also a burial is huge unnecessary fuss, cost and waste of space.

I would prefer to be dumped "whole bodied" over the continental shelf so I can go back into the food chain. All we do is take from the planet. Then we die and either get put under ground that can never be used again or burnt and add further polution as the last thing we do.

Feed me to the fishies. Sadly, my govt wont allow it :-(

If I get a choice in the matter; buried intact on dry land. I won't explain, since you refuse a "religious answer" to a religious question...

Thats really weird Anyway, sea is ok for me. On land some scavengers might do the job as well but might be illegal most places, maybe not in Nepal. Burning bodies seems so wastefull, thou somekind of airdrying before might spare some fuel thou..

Yes, an alternative for the "Greenies" who prefer not to be buried is the Buddhist Sky Burial. I personally would prefer to have a little fuel wasted on me (maybe in lieu of not having heating on board?).

Cold boat also helps to gather some body grease to have your own fuel with ya

re: How Many Of You Want To Be Buried At Sea?

Don't see it is a religious question Micah. Dying is just a natural end to every life, how it happens may not be, and as Xymotic says, i do not care what happens to me. By choice i would rather be dumped where some animal can eat me but that, as stated, is against the law out here. Though, where would the evidence be?

Coops.

Unfortunately pretty lean here, so frequently need help in the form of hot water bottles and multiple layers .

I just said to my lady, throw me out back in the paddock. If you hear snuffling noises and the crunching of bones at least you know that for once in my life i was useful.

Death is an enemy...and it is not an end, though it is permanent. Otherwise, why do we mourn it in others, and fear it for ourselves?

I think I would give up cruising if everyone decided that was the best way to be put to rest. Around 150,000 die daily, seas would soon become littered around the populated areas .
