I'm with Acedude. On my second pair of Five Fingers. Took a day to get used to them and haven't gone back. They came out recently with a pair in soft, dark brown rough-out leather, very cool! Also have a pair of simple canvas slip ons that I like to wear.

I also have to say that my wife and I have been converted to wearing Crocs on the boat . Yes, they are damn ugly IMO, but, they protect the toes, have good grip on deck, have thick bottoms (Which are perfect for swimming a stern line to a rocky shore, and protecting you from sea urchins to a certain extent), dry quickly after being wet, and they can be slipped on in ½ a second if a situation arises (Unlike wetsuits boots or shoes).
I started looking for quick-donning boat shoes after the last toe-killing event where I had to leap up from my sun-downer and fend off a boat which was coming into dock (Poorly), where I had no time to put my wetsuit boots on, and during this debacle my foot slipped down the cabin roof across the deck and into the railing, which resulted in a toenail being folded back in half. Ouch!

BEWARE OF CROCS when the soles wear a little they become very slippery when wet. I have had some bad falls with them and no longer wear them for this reason.
