There are water flow switches available that could kill the gen set if no water is flowing. They are not expensive and can be easily wired in with the oil pressure and temp circuits that most generators use. That's better than a sea cock switch or willy graffiti.

Google Aqua alarm or something like that. They make lots of nifty sensors for water flow, level and temp.

Some of us have water-lift mufflers, with exhaust water discharged below the waterline . . .

On both main and genset . . .

Put a big orange streamer on the switch...cheap..Works for gear pins...put a guard and a streamer on the switch. Two chances not to mess up. Have some body yell at you when you wreck an impeller.

Sure! I can not only list them, I am intimately acquainted with every one of them! Know the feel and quirks of every one.

Two toilets = 2x intake and 2x discharge = 4

Main engine -- one cooling water intake, one discharge = 2

Genset -- ditto, 2

Blackwater discharge -- 1

Two cockpit drains

Four deck drains.
