Double nickels here plus a penny for luck, which means I'm only 9 cents shy of retirement.

A good place to be.

I'm 56 and the Captain is 78 though one would be hard pressed to guess his age when meeting him. We're looking forward to our maiden voyage together, soonish, though it will be a short one. The 'big' one to Grenada is brewing nicely.

I know there's a group of budgeters. Is there a large group of doughboys?

I'd like to know who I'm talking to. How can we do that? Help?

Re: Confess Now: How Many Here Are Above the Double Nickels ?

Just turned 61 and preparing to move onto my boat and finish a refit. When I get old and someone asks me what I did in my golden years, I'm not going to say I sat on the porch with my dog watching cars go by. I want to say, "I sailed around the ******* world.".

Just above at Double Nickel + 4 in 7 days time.

Inside every grown man there's a little boy who can run faster than the wind...

Still loving life, just bought what I hope will be my last boat, and looking forward to a sailing retirement in three years time.

Shoot - I turned 60 today and would wear either one of those. My patents would laugh and my employees would roll their eyes. It's be the best of both worlds. One of my employees put a bumper sticker on my car last year that said:

"Inside every old person is a young person who wonders what the hell happened."

I've actually had people roll down thier windows at stop lights and ask me where I got it.

G'day, mates. The dream, always try to keep the length of the yacht bigger than the voyages around the sun. Still on coarse. Cheers.

It's like you walk out of your home on your 21st birthday and say bye to your mom, then when you come back in the evening you're 59 years old, and you haven't a CLUE where the years went!

On St. Pats day (this Thursday) I'll be 69. Should turn 70 on my next cruise.

We all know it to be true. Just last week, a local business owner suggested to me [me!] in a nice way that she thought my emotional level had been arrested at the teenage level.

Yeah, what else is new, Liz?

I don't need to confess. Everyone can tell that I'm way over.

Kind regards,
