Well, tried to post some photos and got this message again! Anyhow, just got back from Dry Tortugas & Loggerhead Key. Rocketman and his friend came down from Marco, and off we went. Had a AWESOME time! We did a 3 day out, Key West to Marquesas Key to Dry Tortugas, and vice-versa, round trip 6 days.
Rocketman headed back to Marco this morning....think I am gonna hang around here a couple more days, then go back to DT...especially now I know the best way to get there...LOL...on someone elses BOAT..lmao!! I provisioned today, didnt want to be short on Coffee, Milk, SPAM and POTTED MEAT! Oh yeah, I forgot Progresso Soup.

Re: Attempted Trip to Bermuda
Okay, Captain BO, I am going to share the secret of my favorite monster chow with you.
Take one flour tortilla, hot or cold. Spread wolf brand chili, no beans, down the center. Crush a handful of doritos and apply to chili. Roll it up, tuck the lower end, and eat. Can be customized with cheese, pickled jalapenos, leftover bacon, cold pizza cut into strips, whatever. Great cockpit mini meal and goes great with beer.
When i was a kid, flour tortillas got moldy after 3 days. Now there are enough chemicals to keep them pristine for weeks. Just turn them every couple of days. They are hAndy for portablizing all sorts of food.
Bon apetit.

Wish I were banging around in Key West. Nebraska got a pretty good snowstorm. High tonight of five above. Glad BO turned out to be legit. Wish all my conspiracy theories could be disproved.
BO, try for the Moon next, as so many Americans have been there!

Re: Attempted Trip to Bermuda
Great trip, great weather, AWESOME people to make the run with. We did eat good too! Captain Rocketman sets a fine table! The trip was basically, left on monday, dropped anchor Marquesas Key monday evening, departed tuesday morning, dropped anchor tuesday evening at Dry Tortugas, messed around on wednesday at DT with some scuba going on at the Windjammer wreck and collected a couple coconuts from Loggerhead Key. Departed wednesday afternoon from DT, tossed anchor at Marquesas Key wednesday night, left thursday morning and made Key West thursday evening. I am getting ready to make the run back tomorrow, if I get done today the stuff I need to do. Sad to see Rocketman leave yesterday, a true Renaissance Man! I am priviledged to call him my friend!
PS. Upping the photos works better if ya upload one at a time and let it finish before ya up load another.

Sounds like a great cruise. Meanwhile I'm just hoping today's predicted rain melts some of the remaining snow from last weeks Blizzard. So I can get to the boatyard and check on the boat again:
THE BIANKA LOG BLOG: WHY I'M AN OPTIMIST
I forgot what a real winter was like and cabin fever and sailing withdrawal is setting in. Your pictures only add to that feeling. Another winter or two and I think it will be time to head south too.
