Re: A Tale of Two "Captains"

Sometimes in the chandlery the customer asks a question, mostly dumb in classification, and upon receiving the answer they frequently respond with "Well, i'll be buggered". My usual response is "not by me you won't, whilst i am happy to be in your fantasy i am not fulfilling it" Some very strange looks i have received.

PS. Here is an example. " I have a 42' power boat, i want to tow an 18' speedboat behind it at planing speed. If i fasten a sea anchor to the back of the speedboat, will that stop it running into the big boat when i slow down?" I was actually asked this, so i told him, "worth a try"

Re: A Tale of Two "Captains"

I attended the funeral for CaptainADD last night. I was very surprised at the number of people who showed up. We gave him a send off worthy of a sailor of his magnitude.

He left me his boat,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

and a note saying,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

You are now "THE CAPTAIN."

I MADE IT

Race begins next week

Not to worry. His spirit lives on. Especially in DOJ.

Re: A Tale of Two "Captains"

He died of a broken heart.

People just did not have the respect for his sailing abilities.

After the incident at the yacht club he just did not think he could go on anymore.

I look forward to getting revenge on the race course.

Re: A Tale of Two "Captains"

Captain ADD was buried at sea with a 21 gun salute. It seems the yacht club artillery members came down for the funeral.
