Ocean Girl,
You'll need to check her website to get the latest. Apparently her managers are able to keep up with her position, and are in contact with her, since they're doing a daily update on her situation.
As of Wednesday morning (Aus time), she's made good 320 nm in five days, or an average of 64 nm per day. She'll have to pick up the pace, since her plan is apparently based on averaging 100 nm per day.
An excerpt from her official website...

GLOBAL INTEREST IN JESSICA ESCALATES
Wednesday, 21 October, 2009 (6.00pm AEDT)
Despite being just 320 nautical miles and five days into her estimated 23,000 mile, 230 day solo voyage around the world, Jessica Watson has already captured the imagination of a global audience, with over 400,000 hits per day on her website and today recording over 1000 comments on her increasingly popular blog platform.

Thanks Hud3,
Will do. I was hoping that someone here would add updates for a couple reasons. One, to help keep this thread on topic (its about her succeeding right?). And two, so I won't have to go to her site. I have been working long crazy hours and it is hard enough to keep up with you guys .

That posting on her website is partially incorrect. The 320Nm makes sense since it was 150 the day earlier and she is apparently moving solid after a very slow start on Sunday.
But, the posting said 5 days and it was only 3 1/2 - more like 3 days, 9 hours. So, as I noted in my article this morning, she is averaging a bit less than the 100 nm she needs per day to make the voyage in 8 months.
There is no formal tracking system announced yet, but there have been AIS forwards from other vessels early in the voyage. Since I'm trying to write an update every day, I'll be happy to pop back here if I find out a reliable way of tracking her progress.
You can find my coverage here: Jessica Watson Voyage

Why does her blog always refer to us and we? Does she have her boyfriend onboard?

Some people say we when they are thinking of a team effort, maybe that is what she means.

For the same reason that Casey Stoner (Moto GP rider) always refers to we when discussing the races, he is riding the bike but he is also fully aware of the people that make it all happen. Its about acknowledging those who contribute to your endeavours.

In theory - and with the best of planning - yes.
If I were making the voyage, I'm sure I'd call upon lots of stored fat!
In her case, I would hope that she has a strong plan for rationing. Other's who attempt "non-stop" are usually in Open 60's that cover lots of miles in minimum time.
I hope her stores are adequate. I think we all recognize most of the perils of any cirumnavigation; not being able to do any replenishing just might be the biggest challenge.

We have to assume she actually has more but then again I am not sure if your post was tongue in cheek or surprise or something else....
Just for interests sake, Jon Sanders must have had quite a bit of food on board on his triple circumnavigation, non stop, solo, unassisted voyage of 71,023 nm in 657 days.

Blame it all on Joshua Slocum. At the time he was the youngest. Somebody should have banned him!
