Whale pulled my chain

We had a interesting experience at Rooney Point, Fraser Island QLD on Sunday. Four whales took a liking to Sea Trek III, fantastic experience until one got tangled with the anchor chain. Here is the link to the video of the event.

Sounds neat but the video won't play. It says it is private. Hope the whale is ok.

Re: Whale pulled my chain

The video host site probably limits video streaming to certain countries.

Very interesting, I'm sure their curiosity, and ours, is mutual.

When I heard this thread title, I thought the OP was yanking my chain.

Re: Whale pulled my chain

Always a humbling experience to be near such huge creatures. Thanks for sharing!

Just curious--how deep was the water there?

Thanks god you had a Manson Supreme Anchor! Even a whale can't move it! yes I went there

Very cool even with them "yanking your chain" !

how come no one got in the water? Seems like a good opportunity. Alligators?

Re: Whale pulled my chain

Don't know much about humpbacks, but it seems unusual to me that they'd be playing around in such shallow water.

They sure did seem to like your boat!

In the 1st few seconds of the video when they are at a distance they would of only been in about 2 metres.

Those whales do have good taste
