Looked to be youngsters in the pictures... when I went down the W coast last year we had lots of pods heading S with us and a few adults surfaced yards away... looked as big if not bigger than the 54ftr we were on... awesome animals and no hostility..

Yes definitely youngsters, I love how careful the one is when he swims close to the dinghy. Definitely gentle giants!
