Thanks, Do you know where the weather station is on hammo? I have been watching the observations on bom.gov.au. But am curious to know the location of the annemometer.

Very good video of the birth and path of yasi. You can see little anthony hit the coast and dissapate also. Its like a hand grenade preceding a nuke.

AFAIK (read it somewhere) the annemometer is near the airport at hamilton which would mean it's fairly exposed.
