Thursday 99 Anniversary Of Titanic.

Well, Thursday marks the 99th year anniversary of the sinking of the unsinkable Titanic.
Here in Halifax we have a graveyard full of unknown and known victims of the Titanic. I will be going to a ceremony tomorrow evening at the Fairview Lawn Cemetery at 11:30 pm for stories and a tour and at 12:00 am for a service , prayer and reflection.
The sinking was at 11:40 pm 1912.
Just thought i would let everyone know about this historic anniversary.

I drove by the cemetary in Halifax when I was last there.

Its so unimagainable that Titanic sank only 50 years before I was born and yet it seems so long ago. The world has changed so much in that time yet we still keep making such glaring mistakes like building nuke power stations in earthquake zones.

Re: Thursday 99 Anniversary Of Titanic.

10 years ago I recall June 28 through july 12, had a great time, did the rounds of the Cabot trail, Peggys Cove, Luneburg, Cheticamp, Bras Dor, Antigonish, Wolfsville, Downtown Dartmouth, .........loved it all, even the Military Tattoo.

Only problem I had was finding liquor stores that opened at sensible times, but the Lobster made up for the lack of drink, oh, and the chowder, and the steaks, and blueberry pie and the scollops and other fish from Petes Frutique in Sackville, that was some store. (Hes a Brit)
