Cats need 2 EPIRBS: 1 next to each emergency hatch.

I read they were drinking water through a hose. The water being stored in a water tank">fresh water tank for washdowns. One complained it tasted a wee bit of fuel. They had gum, and crackers to eat......i2f

hey guys, this is NOT a sailboat, mono or catamaran, or even a power yacht - it is a 23ft run-about fishing boat with a W-hull. You have probably seen them at local boat launching ramps, inverted V center section which simulates a catamaran. Think a large capital letter "W". They are reviewed in the fishing boat rags as having too low a center section that at high speed - 40 mph - can slap and bounce the boat out of control. They were not recommended for offshore fishing.

Why one would go into the Gulf of Mexico these days without an EPIRB is beyond me. I've sailed all over the western hemisphere - the Gulf can be one of the most uncomfortable places, in a very short time. I'd rather be in that boat off the coast of New Jersey than the Texas Coast.
