Singlehanded TransPac, 2008

"Have you always wanted to race to Hawaii? Do you have trouble finding offshore crew because of your 'relaxed' hygiene habits? Does the likelihood of hallucinations due to lack of sleep appeal to your sense of adventure? Then the Singlehanded TransPac may just be the race for you."

Thus begins an item in today's 'Lectronic Latitude, entitled "First Singlehanded TransPac Seminar." The author of the article goes on to explain that "It's never to early to start getting ready, so to help prospective racers prepare themselves and their boats, the Singlehanded Sailing Society will present free monthly seminars for the next 10 months at Bay Area yacht clubs."

Good one, David . . . only a Dead Head would have picked up on that.

I raced with the "SSS" for a number of years, the're a great bunch of people and will go out of their way to make Single Handing fun.
4 years ago, we bought the 42 and the wife says I can't race the house!
