Re: Sea legs

Wow! The walker for beached cruisers! So often we forget the rich lives our elderly have lived. My father-in-law, now in dementia, has photos of ships he piloted through the Panama Canal in his room just to remind staff of the person he was.

Re: Sea legs

I can just picture shuffling down to the nursing home cafeteria pulling up to your chair, throwing the anchor off the bow and then sitting to eat.

Re: Sea legs

My mum has dementia, and mobility issues. She would have loved a walker like this.
Its a "Memory Box" on wheels. Just lovely.

I want a Beneteau Walker for when I get older.

Re: Sea legs

That shows love for the sea (or boating) and love for the sailor who uses it. Beautiful!

Re: Sea legs

Oh Yeah! Me in a nursing home heading to the Mess Decks...coming up I'm gonna have to tackle a beam reach to port (i.e. turning a corner): "All hands! Stand by to tack! ...Helm's a'Lee!". Steady on Boys, it's sliders and fries in the Galley today!

Knowing my luck, the care providers would foul my anchor so I couldn't go too far and terrorize all the landlubbers in the facility with nautical terms and salty language! (Put out more scope...more scope I say! )
