Re: Sailors Survive 32 days at Sea

Sailormantz, as you say the boat certainly appears to be seaworthy and there is obviously more to this story than the illogical version he is trying to sell. I strongly suspect, however, that he will be unwilling to tell the whole story to locals or anyone else. As Slticrak has pointed out, if he had a hidden agenda, it is unlikely that he is going to 'fess up'.

Lots of speculation, not many facts.

What was the condition of the boat, Mark1977?

I sailed down yesterday. The boat seems to be in fairly good shape. I went aboard and had a few beers with him, very nice and funny guy.
I offered him a mooring if he needed it but, he has made arrangements to go accross the harbour to alderny landing in dartmouth.

Re: Sailors Survive 32 days at Sea

So what's your opinion of his overall condition, meaning his boat and ability to make way or do you think he's just trying to settle where he is?

Hey Scot, I will send you a p.m. I don't really want to speculate publicly.
