Request for Articles, Original Nautical Poetry

My wife Shana and I edit the sailing newsletter News From the Bow. We are new to Cruisers Forum and invite fellow sailors and boaters...writers, poets and photographers to send original articles, nautical poetry, photographs, and video to us for publication in NFTB.

Our monthly on-line newsletter is non-commercial. It focuses on boating in the northeast and mid-Atlantic US and has included articles from around the world.

This month we feature an interview with Robert White, Jr., the publisher of Eldridge Tide and Pilot Book, original research on winter boat covers and details on creating a great boating salad.

We invite you to check us out, and hope you'll consider becoming regular readers and contributors.

Sincerely,

Shana and Stu Hochron, Editors

Interesting! On what basis are you currently paying for original articles ?
By agreement ? Number of words submitted ? Number of words published ?.
How is payment made ? Photos of course will attract a premium.
How does one obtain an advance ?

When is your monthly dead line for submission?
Sincerely
Laidback

Re: Request for Articles, Original Nautical Poetry

Dear Laidback:
News From the Bow is a non-commercial publication. We have paid recognized poets for original nautical poetry, but all articles are contributed by readers. If you would like exposure to our readership (averages 3000/month) we welcome your input. NFTB publishes the first of every month and accepts articles any time. Check us out, feel free to include what you feel is important, and welcome aboard!

I suppose "there once was a man from Nantucket" is right out?

Alchemy,
I know you have more than that in you. Give it a try with a poem of your own. Who knows? Maybe you'll see it next month in News From the Bow.
