Yes, and they must be aplauded for doing so. ALL members of any of the armed forces have my deepest respect.

HOWEVER and this is a big however, the people who set the guidelines that they have to adhere to do not. No doubt, the reason they wern't there sooner is because of those idiotic 'rules of engagement' guidlines that they all have to stick to.

We (the US and UK) can it seems march into Iraq or wherever with no real just cause but if they see an obvious pirate vessell in enemy waters they are powerless to do anything unless they are fired on first. I aggree with those who advocate a shoot on sight policy in these waters, I know many of you disagree but thats how I feel.

If we can't be protected then the only other option is for all cruisers to arm themselves and I know most of us certainly dont want that.

That being said, to insinuate that the US Navy is any way at fault is utter BS! Next thing that will pop up is Obama is at fault. The terrorists that killed the crew are at fault no matter what anyone did or did not do, to think otherwise is insane.
