John & Dot,

That sounds like more fun. I am wondering if we want to catch them going south, or heading north? Also where would we hold the meeting. GCS's is a whole day away from the mouth of the river. I am not against using our facility again. I am thinking of those trying to get somewhere. Anybody else with some thought of including those passing right by us? It might make a nice rest stop for their travels.

Imagine2frolic,
The location depends on the number of boats that will be attending. In St. Augustine, Lighthouse Park in Salt Run has picnic tables but limited anchoring--Conch House Marina is nearby. Butler Park has picnic tbles with pavillions and water access by dingy but limited anchoring for 30+ ft boats. Down in Flagler County there is a public park with picnic tables some under pavillions right on the narrow intracoastal.
North St. Aug has Comachee Cove Marina. Those are the only thoughts I have presently.

Dot & John

I wouldn't expect we'd get many Southbounders in the spring, when most cruisers head North.

Hey guys... Don't forget Ft Matanzas state park, about 12 miles south of St Augustine.

There is a good anchorage under/near the fort. It has significant current with the tides, but good holding. then you have the park facilities reached by dinghy, and the beaches, both on the inside and on the ocean. Can come by car to the park and they have picnic areas. Probably no booze except on your boat. A great setting of park, beaches and anchorage.

I am retiring from the work (& income) force at the end of this year; which will give me time (but not money) to travel.
I will be watching for news of any CF rendezvous, and scheming how to fit it/them into the schedule and budget.
