NE Florida Spring Fling

We had a great time meeting members of the forum last fall. I was wondering if others would like to meet for a SPRING FLING. Basically the same concept. Potluck, and an oppurtunity to meet new & old friends to chat up boat stuff.

I am thinking mid April to late May as a time frame. This will give people an oppurtunity to squeeze in the time to join. We can meet anywhere, and that includes the same location as last fall. Time & location are up for the debate.

Here's several pics of last year's fun......i2f

Thanks Mr. Scallywag for supplying the pics

Sounds like a great idea! And I'm guessing that it would be worth the drive from Tampa

Maybe we can persuade the state to finish that cross-Florida barge canal and I can bring my boat....

CaptForce--Green Cove Springs, Florida was the last meeting. The last meeting place was fabulous. I do not know of another place that has all the accomodations.

The last meeting was at Reynolds Park Yacht Center where the 2 small cruise ships are. I think everyone went away with a full tummy, and a big smile........i2f

Markpj23,
Glad to hear your planning to make the trip. I will post the date when and where the event will take place. Last Fall was a nice affair.

Hey everyone -- We're thinking of having the spring fling get together sometime in April.

Who's available then?!

It looks like it will be at the same place as last fall -- Green Cove Springs. It would be great to meet some new people, so if you're in the area, please come on down (or up)!

I'm bringing home made key lime pie and mango avocado chutney (again).

GordMay,
I do not think Green Cove Springs is a dangerous as some areas of Jacksonville. I can not remember if the type of pleasure vessel was even mentioned. I do know there was a lot of good conversation. I do not think politics, religion, or nationalities were mentioned. I do know that I slept since then. Who knows what was discussed. I did have a great time meeting other forum members.
