Thumbs up NATO Warship Sinks Pirate Mothership

Press Release :-
NATO Warship Sinks Somali Pirate Mothership
3/2/2010 12:23 PM ET

A Danish warship deployed of the coast of Somalia as a part of the ongoing NATO anti-piracy mission there has sunk a pirate mothership in the Indian Ocean, said a statement released by the NATO forces.

According to a NATO press release, Absalon, a Danish attack support ship engaged in NATO's counter-piracy efforts, "disrupted a piracy attack in the Somali basin on Sunday and then scuttled a mother ship."

The statement said the vessel sank Sunday was used as a mother ship by Somali pirates for transportation of speedboats employed to carry out attacks on commercial ships. It added that the mother-ship was sunk after the Danish forces on the warship evacuated the pirates from the vessel.

hmmmmmm... we know where the pirate camps are and we have the warships with their big guns so conveniently located nearby it seems to be such a waste of fuel go all the way there and do nothing more.....environmentally speaking....

Yes, great news from my perspective.

But I can't help from wondering if anyone will jump in to denounce this action? If not, and this was such an obvious no-brainer good job, then

WHY HASN'T SOMETHING LIKE THIS BEEN DONE BEFORE?

Because the hand wringing whiners who can't or won't make a hard, bloody, decision are running the show world wide. These are the people who think that inside everybody is a nice person trying to get out and that they would be nice people if only "we" would give them the chance.

I can tell you from experience there ARE people out there who are just plain bad. They would be bad no matter the circumstances of their lives. They are just plain bad. Unfortunately they manage to get otherwise mostly good people to participate in their schemes and you can't always differenciate between the two types. The only answer is to kill ALL the available "bad guys" in any given situation.

Failing to do this puts your own people(KNOWN good guys) at risk.

As has be proven in past pirate wars if you kill all the pirates, pirateing goes down in frequency due to a)lack of replacement pirates or b) remaining would be pirates get the idea that being a pirate is a poor career choice. Very simple........m

Nothing political to be said. It is, what it is. As in the past (yes many years ago) when the world powers got tired of pirates screwing with commerce the world powers got together and killed all the pirates they could find. End of problem, mostly........m
