N.E. Florida Fall Ball

Well, Well, Well,

Over the past year we have had 2 great get togethers in N.E. Florida. We members in the area have had a chance to swap lies, and share food while enjoying drink together!

Once again I am willing to be the host, but all options are open. I am wondering if later is better? A number of cruisers pass through, and it would be nice to meet those from far away places. Vasco comes to mind as per his suggestion last year. We do have an anchorage about 1/4 mile away from the facility. Although a park in St. Augustine, or anywhere else would be great.

It's quite possible Melanie, and I will be leaving this year for the destination of S.F. Ca.....aka my home, or home to Mel, the Philippines. We are trying to get our ducks in a row before Febrauary so we have plenty of time to get through the canal. We have a lot of loose ends, so it will be a challenge to accomplish this.

Like many here the economy has put a twist in our plans, but life goes on. I for one refuse not to stand in the way of living. I have stood still for 3 years, and I am going stir crazy.

Now is as good a time as any to toss ideas around on timing, and place if the Fall Ball is desired?.........i2f

Hi Mike,

I have seen you posting. These threads usually run a couple of months trying to coordinate everything. Good to see you raise your hand, and now that it is in the correct category we will see others raise their's too. Looking forward to meeting you, and yours. Have you picked an approximate time for your depature?......i2f

"Support" is always good Congratulations to Mel on the job!

Your sail invite is always valid - if your "cabin fever" reaches that certain level, just drop me a note

I2F,
We are good most of the Fall. Let us know what you want us to bring. Maybe we can get together before hand to help with the setup. Broke a bone in my foot, so I had to retire.

Why didn't you break the foot bone sooner? We just started on the thread, so let's see where it goes, and we will come to a conclusion to please most I am sure. Fall is up to Dec 20th, so that gives a lot of leeway. Thanks for checking in......i2f

Hi Rick,

I have taken that into consideration. Your comments last year is why I asked if later is better? That way we can meet members from farther away too.......i2f

I live in Orlando, so I can fit into any schedule, especially if it entails drinking. All I need it a bunk for the night, otherwise the venue needs to be within staggering distance of a decent motel.

Jolly,

First we need to decide where, and then we can figure out something for you. The last 2 get togethers were a lot of fun, and no one went home hungry......i2f
