The article doesn't say why the Buccaneer didn't come back for her. Did they simply lose sight of her? Anyone have further details?

HA!!! Now THATS funny.

I remember one week long trip I was on..... there was this woman...... and if she had fallen overboard I don't think we would have turned around for her. Even her boyfriend would have looked the other way.

There was a story in the sailing magazines about a decade ago of a couple crossing the Anegada Passage from the BVI to St. Martin. About halfway across her husband got pissed about something and the next thing the wife knew she was swimming. Currents and stamina and just plain pissed off, she swam back to Virgin Gorda - took almost two days. The story says after she dried out she was still pissed and nobody wanted to be anywhere around when she flew to St. Martin to meet up the boat and police.

Funny, they credit her survivel to her skill saying most people die of shock after falling in the water -All of her body fat kept her warm and afloat, no one mentioned this she is a huge woman!

Maybe this thread should be moved to the "Wanted - Fat Sailors" thread and those there may want to re-think their desire to lose weight.
