Looking at the video again, you can hear the harnes beeing unclipped at 3 seconds in, then the man has to scoot himself forward and stand up to step around the idot with the camera
, who is preventing Bowers from getting closer to the companionway
before unhooking his harness. this takes about 7 more seconds, then the wave hits at 10 seconds in, just when Bowers stands up.
Seven seconds. That is all the time between when he was hooked in, to when he was launched. One second later, and he was in the water
