Merry Christmas

I am off for two weeks sailing and generally laying about. Having Christmas with Seafox and hopefully meeting up with a few others out and about.
I hope all of you have a very very happy Christmas....if I am allowed to say that.
We have some PC types here in NZ that are real Joy kills. Over the last couple of years, they have stopped the Decorating of town streets because it maybe offensive to somebody. This year they have stopped Santa's from saying Ho ho ho as that could be offensive to somebody. And now thay want to stop us from Saying "Merry Christmas" and say "happy Holiday's instead, because we may offend someone of a different religion that doesn't celebrate Christmas. What the hell is the world coming too. Next someone will try telling me Santa and the Tooth Fairy doesn't exist.
So what ever persuasion or religion you are, have a good one folks.

I agree with you completely Alan.

I have never been offended by other peoples holidays that I do not celebrate. I like seeing people happy in celebrating their holidays. In fact, I do not know of anyone that is offended by other peoples holidays. So where are all of these people that are supposedly offended? Is there anyone in this forum that is offended by someone else's holiday? My guess is no.

All the different holidays celebrated by all the different cultures on this good Earth are something that should be celebrated and promoted, not suppressed.

We are all people of one common ancestry on the same planet. We just have different ways of celebrating. No reason to get your feathers ruffled over that.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa or whatever holiday you may celebrate.

Peace on Earth.

Today was the day, but it would depend on which hemisphere one is in.
