Check out this blaze, and the cool drone that captures the footage.

Nice find. Ouch hat's gonna leave a mark. Interesting the fire department is just letting it burn and does not even look like it's making an attempt to put the fire out. Another reason you won't find me owning a dollar Motor Yacht.

Yeah, looks like the firemen don't even know what to do with that one!

If there is ever a fire in our yard, it'll be similar. They come by often and inspect and discuss the plan. Our shipping container full of drums of resin and acetone would BURN! The plan involves evacuating the entire area and creating a large fire break. They'd just let the boats in the yard burn in a worst case scenario, they are much more worried about the surrounding area, and making sure any fire can't escape the yard.

Re: M/V Polar Bear Fire

In another article it mentioned the police shooting out the windows because the fire fighters couldn't get the water inside the boat. Sealed up tight. So that's probably why they stood around perplexed.

They also thought it was full of fuel and were worried about explosions.

Sad.. Gorgeous yacht. Owner lives in MN.

Re: M/V Polar Bear Fire

Wonder what the heat will do to the sailboat on stands just off the stern of the Polar Bear. Has to be getting really hot.

What would that do to the glass and resin on a boat?

I've posted pics of burn boat repairs before. Look for my "Pics from the Boatyard" thread. My least favorite type of repair.

I thought the same thing about the fire dept. but if that video hasn't been edited it was under 4 minutes long.
