Legendary Sail maker Passes

Anyone who has spent any time in the Caribbean knows Manfred Dittrich. His sail loft on Hassle Island has been visited by thousands of sailors and cruisers throughout the years. This morning, his son RembrantLee announced his fathers passing. Rembrant's message he posted is below, and the link with further information is listed below. I for one will miss Manfred greatly and will honor the end of watch for this legendary sailmaker with eight bells.

My father has passed. I'm devastated. Everyone is welcome to come to hassle Island over the next couple weeks. Will be meeting and talking about Manfred and celebrating his life. Bring some food if you can. For those of you that are in the area. Look for further updates of what's occurring as time goes on. I'm still in shock!
