Laura Zekoll - Prayers and Support for her Rescue...

As Laura's family and others begin their own private search for Laura and we all hold the hope that she will be found alive, I thought that a thread of just support of her loved ones, friends, and the Crew of s/v 'Rule 62' during this extraordinarily difficult time would be appropriate.

One of our own has been lost. I believe in miracles, and I believe in the power of positive energy. I understand many of us want to learn from this event, take the lessons away, and the experience without having lived through this...but right now, I feel it is the time to hold space and time to meditate on Laura's safe return, and to celebrate her Life.

The little that I have gleaned about Laura from reading the online news cast and joining the facebook page 'Laura Zekoll-Bring Her Home' Login | Facebook reflects that she was one incredible woman.

Please leave the Monday Morning Quarterbacking and debate to the other thread, and just leave words of support and humanity here.

I went to bed last night praying for your rescue Laura, and I woke up this morning, seemingly saying the same prayer. I lit a candle at dawn this morning, and as its glow lit up the room, I looked to the sky and saw one solitary star still burning bright in the dawn sky. I actually got down on my knees and prayed, I have not done that in seven years, but I feel you are a Sister of mine in regards to our love for the Sea. I pray that she spared you and that you await rescue with the sand under you. Sending you strength and endurance, sending your rescuers the same...

Indeed.

I hope that Laura’s family & friends can take some small measure of solace from the prayers and best wishes of CruisersForum members.

I do not know Laura, but I admire her for casting off the dock lines and pursuing her dreams. My thoughts are with her and her family.

Laura's family and friends, we raised you and Laura up in prayer this past Sunday, and we continue to do so. Know that the prayers of many are with you, in your search efforts and in your grief.
