This pretty much sums it up.
It seems inappropriate for me to come into this church and disrupt the congregation’s worship.

And yet you do it and then say its inappropriate? Is that some form of insult to those that think this person has achieved a good sailing feat?

I dont worship JW I simply respect her as a demonstrably good sailor. See I even respect her even though her boat was minus a hull!!

You should read these news articles.

Jess Watson given sailing lesson | Sunshine Coast News | Local News in Sunshine Coast | The Sunshine Coast Daily

Solo sailor Watson teams up for race - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

Jess turns 18 in May, and will be allowed in off-shore races, and she will not wait a long time to take part in one. She will race the Mini-Fastnet in June, a race restricted to “mini yachts” sailing 600 nautical miles from France to Ireland and back, together with Scott Cavanough, also from Australia. The two are training race sailing and handling the boat.

I don't always agree with sending kids out to break records, but I can't argue that she has accomplished something I have not...........YET.

You have to look at it from Jessica's Dad's point of view; There were no boys out there chasing after her. And there were no shopping malls for his daughter to drop three times the cost of that boat on shoes and clothes.

If you are McIntyre you must be very proud of how well Jess used the boat you provided her. Congrats and kudos!

Now she seems headed toward singlehand racing. Do we see the Australian Ellen McArthur budding? If so, you might advise her to study French.
