Donald Jordan, inventor of the Jordan Series Drogue
passed away this past weekend. He was, I believe, 92 years young and was working on his latest invention for sail boats up to the very last. I had the privilege
of being a personal friend of Dons. He was a man of contagious humor
and generosity who cared deeply about the plights of sailors. It is my understanding that Don took no monetary gain from his series drogue
. Cruisers owe a debt of gratitude for his perseverance over a long period of time in testing, evaluating and bringing his series drogue to the forefront. For the shear pleasure of it!
I'll miss you Don!
