Re: Human Slobs

Endemic typhus tends to be spread by rat populations through infected fleas; it is similar to but milder than epidemic typhus. The more virulent epidemic typhus is spread from person to person by body lice and is most closely associated with armies, prisoner of war, and refugee camps and at least in the old days sailing troop transports--anywhere that people are crowded together with improper or insufficient hygiene and sanitation. Tick typhus, which is actually a form of spotted fever, is spread mostly in summer time by ticks, as the name implies. A mite borne typhus, also called scrub typhus is spread by mites seeking hosts in spring and summer; it occurs mostly in asia and some Pacific Islands, so it is something of which cruisers sailing to those destinations should be aware if you go ashore and want to do some hiking.

Re: Human Slobs

Honestly.... I do not know, i have not seen it but the video clip is quite interesting in more ways than one! What does to a certain degree make this intersting is the fact that there are Pyrolysis machine for Natural Organic Polymers conversion to oil available which to me indicate validaty of the claim.

If there's actually a vortex or natural acumalation of assorted plastic bags grave yard typo, i doubt!

Re: Human Slobs

To even market a device like that it would have to pass EPA approvals, so I am sure there are filtering requirements in place. Another thought is that the water holds the toxins, and the oil is just skimmed. Pollutants go away. NO. are they now contained instead of out there in the environment. YES.

This is a prototype for a larger scale operation.

The technology, after talking to a sustainable scientist/inventor of mine a couple of days ago, is apparently not new.

Re: Human Slobs

By watching the Utube videos it seems they direct the gass through water in a container and it seemed remarkably easy as the operator was stuffing plastic bags in the machine and draining diesel below. No gas mask, nada!
And the stats was someting like 1Kg plastic bags that result in about 1Lit diesel oil. In terms of generating this operation i guess that it's driven by 220V as for the actual use i do not no but at a guess nothing less than about 3000 watt! What is interesting is that it seems mobile and not too big to handle.
