Grief and Thanks

Bucky’s remains were found today at RoanaokeIsland by a kind fisheries ranger. He tried calling us several times and we finally had to drive halfway to town to get reception and speak to him.
We would like to thank everyone for kind expressions of sympathy and creative and helpful suggestions to find him. Thank you friends, one and all – you have been wonderful.

We grieve with you and offer our sincere condolences for your loss. Those who have never established the unique bond between human and dog cannot truly understand how the loss of a loyal companion like your Bucky exposes a deep, deep void in the heart.

Very sorry to hear about Bucky. Not much more anyone can say. Those who have had animals in their lives can understand how you feel.

I'm so sorry. There's nothing more pure of heart than the love of a dog. A huge grief to loose such an important friend.

I am happy you have closure though sorry it wasn't the result we all hoped for. I recently made the decision to take my 19 yr old sea cat to the vet to be euthanized. It hurts to lose a friend and I'll grieve with you.

My sister once had an exchange with some sort or fundie who stated empirically that "..there are no dogs in heaven!" She shot right back at him "Then THAT'S not heaven pal!"

I'll pour one out for your companion. I'm a sucker for the pups.

Am so sorry for your loss, pets are as much a part of our families as our humans are, with unconditional love.

I'm so sorry. Had been hoping, hard, that he'd be okay and have adventures to report.

If you have his info, maybe just that of the station so it's relatively anonymous, I'd love to send him a thanks on behalf of everyone who's ever had a heart-dog.
